Feedback needed on draft MDP concepts, policies

Following months of public engagement, Leduc County has drafted its concepts and policies for the Municipal Development Plan update, and is seeking input from residents.

The draft concepts and policies are based on comments shared by residents in previous months, including direction on what needs to be preserved, what needs to be changed and what should be improved upon over the next 25-to-30 years.

“We are committed to developing a Municipal Development Plan that is representative of all residents’ perspectives,” says Laurie Johnson, senior planner and MDP update project manager. “We are eager to get feedback from the public at this critical stage in the development of the MDP.”

Leduc County will present draft concepts and policies at the following public meetings:

Monday, April 18
Presentation at 6:30 p.m.
New Sarepta Agri-Plex

Tuesday, April 19
Presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 20

The Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is Leduc County's plan for the future. It details how the county will grow and develop over a 25- to 30-year period by guiding future land use and policy decisions. Leduc County is updating its MDP to ensure development is sustainable and provides a high quality of life for current and future residents.
