Kloovenburg appeal hearing cancelled
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board hearing scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7 has been cancelled. Furthermore, Leduc County's development authority has cancelled, with immediate effect, development approval D16-328 for an outdoor sports and recreation facility, at the request of the applicant.
In accordance with the provisions of Leduc County's Land Use Bylaw 7-08, the development authority may cancel a development permit after issuance, at the written request of the applicant.
As authorized agents on behalf of the applicants, Kloovenburg Sports Ltd. and landowner Wayne Norton Holdings Ltd., Leduc County acknowledges the written request of Al-Terra Engineering Ltd. on Aug. 29, 2017 to cancel the permit of development approval D16-328.
Leduc County's development authority approved development permit application D16-328 for an outdoor sport and recreation facility by Kloovenburg Sports Ltd., with conditions, on May 26, 2017.

The applicants of development permit application D16-328 proposed to use the lands for the following activities:
- Sport shooting courses
- An archery range
- Walking and skiing trails
- A mountain bike track
In addition to the proposed uses the applicants also wished to develop the following:
- Storage shed
- Sea-cans for equipment storage
- Parking lots
