Notice of public hearing: close/sell portion of undeveloped road allowance

PURSUANT to the authority of Leduc County Council, as provided with Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the intention of council to pass a bylaw to close and sell a portion of undeveloped road allowance.

All that portion of highway in Leduc County, in the Province of Alberta, of record in the Land Titles Office for the North Alberta Land Registration District described as follows:

A portion of the Government Road Allowance adjacent to the North Boundary of the North East (NE) of Section Thirty Three (33), Township Forty Nine, (49) Range Twenty Two (22), West of the Fourth (4th) Meridian, Plan 0526189, Block 1, Lot 2, and lying within the limits of Plan _______; containing ±3.78 acres. EXCEPTING THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS.

A PUBLIC HEARING regarding the proposed road closure and sale will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chamber of Leduc County Centre, at which time written and oral submissions may be presented to
council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be injuriously affected by the road closure or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101 - 5 Street, Nisku, AB T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-8866 by 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct.31, will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting without prior notification to Leduc County. In case the meeting does not take place on the 7th day of November, 2017 then at the first meeting of council to be held subsequently thereto, the council will conduct the public hearing.

Written submissions may be made public, subject to provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
