Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw regarding use of the Environmental Reserve
PURSUANT to the authority of Leduc County Council as provided in Section 676 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the intention of council to pass a bylaw for the use of the Environmental
Reserve, on the property legally described as Plan 1026716, Block 1, Lot 10ER, as a receiving area for the disposal of treated wastewater for the Vantage Point Development. The property is located at S.E. 33-50-23-W4.
Plans showing the location of the said Environmental Reserve may be inspected and information obtained in the Leduc County office during the regular office hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A PUBLIC HEARING regarding the Use of the Environmental Reserve as a receiving area for the disposal of treated wastewater for the Vantage Point Development will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 1:45 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the council chamber of Leduc County Centre, at which time written and oral submissions may be presented to council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be injuriously affected by use of the Environmental Reserve as a receiving area for the disposal of treated wastewater for the Vantage Point Development.
Written submissions mailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101 – 5 Street, Nisku, Alberta, T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-8866 by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may also be made at the council meeting without prior notification to Leduc County. In the event the meeting does not take place on the 7th day of November, 2017, then at the first meeting of council to be held subsequently thereto, council will conduct the public hearing.
Written submissions may be made public, subject to provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
