Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08

Leduc County has received an application to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08. The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to redistrict a 6.1 ha (15 ac) parcel of land located within the Treasure Island subdivision at Pt. NW 16-50-23 W4 from the Country
Residential (RC) District to the Agricultural (AG) District. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to allow for the growing of agricultural crops.

A public hearing for the proposed amendment will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 2:15 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the council chamber of the Leduc County administrative office, at which time written and oral submissions may be presented to council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed amendment or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101-5 Street, Nisku, AB T9E 2X3, faxed to 780-955-8866 or emailed to by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.15, referencing application LA17-011, will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting without prior notification to Leduc County.

If you make a written submission, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Copies of the proposed amending bylaw and any supporting information may be
inspected at the County Centre, Planning and Development offices between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
