What makes Leduc County beautiful to you? We want to see Leduc County through your eyes over the next year and will be accepting photo contest submissions throughout the year. Prizes will be awarded seasonally (Fall 2009, Winter 2009/2010, Spring 2010 and Summer 2010) in two different categories: Community & Culture and Scenery & Nature.

Each season, awards will be presented to each category’s winners. All entries are eligible for the grand prize in September 2010 – a Canon Rebel XSi Digital Camera. All entries will also be submitted into the Leduc County photo pool to be used in a variety of Leduc County publications.

Spring 2010 Winners:

Scenery & Nature: Taken by Sifra Luten in the woods between Thorsby & Pigeon Lake.
Community & Culture: Taken by Sifra Luten at her home RR 14 and TWP 482.

Winter 2009/2010 Winners:

Scenery & Nature: Taken by Laura Adams taken at her farm on Range Road 252 just south of 41st Avenue.
Community & Culture: Taken by Donna Tomaszeski of an old homestead west of Thorsby on Range Road 15.

Fall 2009 Winners:

Scenery & Nature: Taken by Charlotte Dennehy at Pigeon Lake in October 2009.
Community & Culture: Taken by Dennis Prins near Rolly View in October 2009.

 

Entry forms are available for download (link to entry form pdf), in the most recent County Chronicle (link to County Chronicle page) or can be picked up at the Leduc County Centre (1101-5th Street, Nisku, AB).

Spring submissions are no longer being accepted. We are currently in the process of choosing winners for Spring 2010.

We will be accepting submissions for Summer 2010 until September 15, 2010.
