Social and emotional readiness is critical for young childrens early school success - and may even set the stage for sucesses later in life. This workshop explores what parents can do to support their child as they develop socially and emotionally. SUNBEAMS (A RAINBOWS program for 4-8 year olds) SUNBEAMS is a program that fosters emotional healing amoung children grieving a loss. These losses include seperation, divorce, death or being seperated from a parent for a long period of time. Through fun activities, games and discussions, SUNBEAMS provides a safe and supportive environment for participants to process their feelings, build self-esteem and learn positive coping tools to last a lifetime -- because it doesn't need to hurt forever. |
