Family Connections
The Family Connections Home Visitation Program is a voluntary supportive program offered in partnership with the Beaumont, Leduc and Thorsby Public Health Centres. This free and voluntary service is available to parents in Beaumont, Leduc, Calmar, Thorsby, Warburg, New Sarepta and any rural area in Leduc County.

This is an on-going, long-term support program for parents who are either expecting or have had their first child within the past year. It is designed to support parents who would like some extra help to answer questions and concerns, provide parenting tips and model hands-on activities with the child. The program is provided in the parents' home or in the community and aims to enhance parenting skills and family stability through providing information about child development, health and other aspects of family life.

In addition to parenting support, Family Connections provides support with other issues that may directly or indirectly affect healthy family functioning and parenting in general. Information about other community resources and support to connect with those resources is provided to families. Parents may choose to stay involved in the program until their first child reaches his or her fifth birthday.
