Roadside Mowing
Leduc County mows approximately 4000 acres of roadside ditch within the County as part of its Industrial Vegetation Management program. The mowing is done to help control weeds and to keep sightlines clear at certain intersections. While a mowed ditch is aesthetically pleasing, it also reduces the potential of snow trap and drifting. Mowing also happens within the subdivisions and on the Municipal Reserve lands within Leduc County. The Nisku Industrial Park, County transfer stations and lagoons are also mowed for vegetation control and to facilitate water drainage.

The County currently runs three tractors with 15 foot mowers for general mowing work and a smaller seven foot mower unit for touch-up work
