Leduc County's next municipal election will take place on Oct. 16, 2017. More details will be posted in the coming months.
Individuals who have submitted his or her notice of intent to become a candidate in the next municipal election, taking place Oct. 16, 2017, are as follows:
Information for candidates
Prospective candidates for the Oct. 16, 2017 municipal election are required to register with Leduc County in advance of accepting campaign contributions (including those of the candidate), as per section 147.21 of the Local Authorities Election Act, which came into force on Jan. 1, 2014.
Forms can be returned to Rick Thomas, General Manager of Community Services, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, in-person at Leduc County Centre (1101 5 St. in Nisku) or by mail to Suite 101, 1101 5 St. | Nisku, AB | T9E 2X3.
If there is any change in the information provided by the candidate, he or she is responsible for notifying Leduc County within 48 hours of the change.
Nomination day is Sept. 18, 2017.
Prospective candidates for the Oct. 16, 2017 municipal election are required to submit their nomination papers via the prescribed form as outlined in Section 27(1) of the Local Authorities Election Act.
Forms must be submitted in-person on Sept. 18, 2017 to Leduc County Centre (Second floor | Room 241 | 1101 5 Street | Nisku) between 10 a.m. and noon.
