East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan

The East Vistas will establish Leduc County's first urban service area. Encompassing just over two square miles, the East Vistas will look and feel like a traditional Alberta small town at its heart, but will also include modern shopping plazas at its periphery and an integrated multi-use pathway system promoting walking, cycling and other modes of transportation.
Established using Smart Growth principles, the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan (LASP) takes advantage of direct access to Highway 625 and a soon-to-be upgraded Township Road 510, as well as ready access to high order water and sewer lines. Its location just to the east of Nisku Industrial Park and northeast of Edmonton International Airport positions the East Vistas to be amongst the closest residential communities to these major employment centres. With a planned ultimate population of just over 22,500, the East Vistas is poised to become a major focal point of Leduc County culture.
