| Second Annual Veggie Patch Harvest |
![]() This year the Rainbow Park plot yielded 65 pounds of fresh produce, which was donated to the Leduc & District Food Bank. The fall harvest on September 7 marked the end of the second year of Leduc Regional Parent Link Centre's Veggie Patch program in Leduc County. An early learning and care program, this hands-on project gives families with young children the opportunity learn about local gardening and the benefits to growing food by planting, maintaining and harvesting a community garden plot. The program was able to donate nearly 65 pounds of carrots, squash, beans, potatoes, herbs, broccoli and other fresh produce to the Leduc and District Food Bank.
