The road improvements are welcome news in the Nisku Industrial Business Park. “These projects demonstrate that small differences can pay huge dividends,” says Des Mryglod, Director of Public Works & Engineering with Leduc County. “Wider, paved roads make a huge difference not only for all those travelling to and from work, but also for the massive amounts of goods and equipment being transported through Nisku.” Terry Danderfer, managing director with Canada Crane Services in Nisku, applauds the road work done by Leduc County. “They’ve done a fantastic job despite the adverse weather conditions this year. Despite an unseasonably wet construction season, crews successfully completed six road projects in Nisku; one project was deferred. Projects completed in Nisku include:
The road construction project on 10th street (from 15th avenue heading north 340 m) has been deferred until spring 2012 because of insufficient time and poor weather. Road construction projects slated for 2012 will be subject to the budget planning and deliberation meetings set for November 28- December 1.
