On Thursday July 22, 2010, Leduc County Council gave third and final reading to the bylaw to adopt the Wizard Lake Area Structure Plan. The plan came into force on that date.

As a result of the adoption of the plan, certain lands will need to be redistricted. A public hearing has been scheduled for September 7, 2010 as required under the Municipal Government Act to gather public input into three proposed new districts, through which the Wizard Lake Area Structure Plan will be implemented.
