History
The Leduc County Region
Ambulance Board
contracted Ambulance
Services to the Parkland Ambulance Authority (PAA), a progressive and innovative leader in Emergency Medical
Service, on December 29, 2003. This marked
the beginning of a larger and stronger regional partnership between like-minded
municipalities with similar service goals.
Parkland
Ambulance Authority provides ambulance service, E-911 call answer and dispatch services
to the Leduc County region.
In an effort to
increase the level and quality of emergency services for all member
municipalities, the Leduc County Region Ambulance Board placed an
ambulance station in the Warburg Fire Station, located in the west of Leduc
County. Another ambulance
station was placed beside the Nisku Fire Station. Both stations are now home to
top-of-the-line ambulances and numerous highly-trained Paramedics and EMTs.
The two ambulances roam
throughout the region with a backup provided by Parkland Ambulance Authority
from the Town of Devon. Plus, there are Mutual Aid Agreements with several
neighbouring municipalities. Fire Services across the region are working closely
with our ambulance services to further enhance services.
