Family and Community Support Services is a
multi-municipal program.
Leduc County is designated as the Unit Authority responsible to the
Provincial Government and the participating municipalities to ensure the
FCSS Act and Regulations and the conditions of each municipality are
adhered to through the Family and Community Support Services Advisory
Committee.

Outreach service (in-home visits) – provides support
and information to families regarding personal and family issues / concerns.

Community Development

Light housekeeping, respite and home support
for seniors and families.
Home help –
is a heavy housecleaning service available to seniors and persons with
disabilities living in Leduc County. This
program is offered in the spring and again in the fall and is designed to
help you maintain your independence and remain in your home. Costs are subsidized by Family and
Community Support Services.
Individuals must meet eligibility requirements. You must: be a resident of Leduc County FCSS
service area (Leduc County, Devon, Thorsby, Calmar, Warburg, New Sarepta,
Beaumont); be a senior receiving Canada Pension; or be a person with a
disability.

Home Visitation
- Ongoing, long-term support is provided in the parents' homes to enhance
parenting skills, provide information on child development, child health
and other aspects of healthy family life.

parent/child activities).

couple and family counselling. Service contracted with Dr. Zingle’s
Family Counselling Clinic.
FCSS COMMUNITY OFFICES
Through a Coordinator in each office, FCSS
ensures that information, referral services, and educational workshops
are available on issues of interest to local residents. These offices
serve the surrounding rural area.
