Leduc
County has an abundance of parks and open spaces that bring beauty to our County
and an investment in our environment. Habitat
protection and recreation provision is sometimes the best use of lands that are
too fragile for development and very valuable to our future.
MUNICIPAL RESERVES
Municipal
reserve properties are located throughout Leduc County.
These natural areas can be found in subdivisions and along lakeshore and
are for the recreational enjoyment of County residents and visitors alike.
In
1998, Leduc County endorsed the Lakeshore & Municipal Reserve
Lands Policy. The intent of the
policy is to maintain the integrity and natural state of municipal
and reserve lands, to keep them free of any encumbrances and
unauthorized structures, and to ensure designated uses within them continue to
remain safe for the protection of the environment and the enjoyment of
residents.
