BLUE BAG BIN PROGRAM
Starting August 18, 2007 Leduc County has
a new way to recycle bottles, cans, plastics, and paper. It's called
BLUE BAG and it's easy as 1, 2, 3. Recycle bins will be available at New
Sarepta and Mission Beach Transfer Stations.

WATER
Leduc County provides water service to the Nisku Industrial Business
Park, Nisku Hamlet and the North & South Vistas, The County is also
the present contractor for the Capital
Region Southwest Water Services Commission (CRSWSC). CRSWSC
provides water service to Leduc County, City of Leduc, the Town of
Beaumont, the Town of Calmar, and the International Airport.
SANITARY
SEWER
Sanitary sewer service is now available to selected lots in Nisku
Industrial Business Park. A
map of the selected lots can be viewed at the Leduc County Public Works
and Engineering Department.
To tie into the sanitary
sewer system, businesses are asked to complete a
sanitary sewer connection application form, which can be obtained
at the Leduc County Public Works & Engineering Department by calling 780-955-7226. A
plumbing
permit application form is also required before access to the
sanitary sewer is granted, which is available by calling the Planning
and Development Department, Safety Codes at 780-955-3555.
Leduc County also provides sewer collection and
treatment to the Hamlets of Rollyview, Kavanagh,
Buford and Sunnybrook.
SOLID WASTE
The County’s solid waste collection system consists of
seven (7) solid waste transfer stations and one modified landfill. The waste is
collected at the transfer stations and is then hauled to the Leduc
& District Regional Landfill Site.
All sites will accept
household waste as well as non-toxic burnable material. The Sunnybrook
and New Sarepta will accept:
- scrap metal
- white goods (appliances, intact
refrigerators and freezers)
- tires
All
white goods and tires are deposited in a separate area outside the
garbage bin. Items prohibited at all sites are:
- dead animals
- liquids
- hazardous wastes
