Leduc County welcomes Amazon to Nisku Business Park
Amazon announced its plans today for a new customer fulfillment facility in the Nisku Business Park, to open by 2020.
The one-million-square-foot facility will be the second of its kind in Alberta and 11th in Canada, and will provide full-time employment for more than 600 people.
We are pleased to welcome Amazon – one of the world’s most innovative companies – to the community. Leduc County is business-friendly and encourages business and employment growth and diversification by creating an environment that fosters development.
Mayor Tanni Doblanko
The facility will be located in the Nisku Business Park, which is strategically positioned at the crossroads of major air, road and rail transportation routes within the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
This facility is just one of many to call Leduc County home in recent months; Leduc County welcomed Aurora Sky, Costco and the Premium Outlet Collection Edmonton International Airport mall earlier this year.
