Notice of public hearing: amend Land Use Bylaw 07-08 (TA19-003)

A public hearing is being held to amend Leduc County Land Use Bylaw 07-08. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to allow for the automotive sales and service land use, on a discretionary basis, in the rural centre mixed district.

The automotive sales and service land use allows for the retail sale, rental of new or used automobiles, trucks, motorcycles and recreational vehicles, together with incidental maintenance services and sales of parts. This land use does not allow for major equipment sales and service.

The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. in council chamber of County Centre (1101 5 Street, Nisku, AB).

A copy of the proposed amendment is available for review at the Planning and Development offices in Leduc County Centre from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 and 4:30 p.m.; it can also be viewed here.

Written submissions mailed, delivered, emailed to, or faxed to 780-955-8866 by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting without prior notification to Leduc County.
