Notice of public hearing: amend Land Use Bylaw 07-08 re: application LA19-004

Leduc County has received an application to amend Land Use Bylaw 07-08. The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to redistrict approximately 1.3 ha± (3.2 ac±) of a 63 ha± (155 ac±) parcel of land located in Pt. SE 27-49-24-W4 from the Agricultural (AG) District to the Direct Control District.

The purpose of the proposed amendment is to allow for resource extraction (clay). Following the clay extraction, the area will be placed back in to agricultural use.

A public hearing on the proposed amendment will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. The public hearing will be held in the council chamber of County Centre, at which time written and oral submissions can be presented to council.

Submissions may be made by any person whom council agrees to hear. Any written submissions mailed to Leduc County, 101-1101 5 Street, Nisku, AB, T9E 2X3, emailed to, or faxed to 780-955-8866 referencing application LA19-004 by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, will be included on the council agenda.

Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting without prior notification to Leduc County. If you make a written submission, the information you provide may be
made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Copies of the proposed amending bylaw and any supporting information may be inspected at the Planning and Development offices in County Centre between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, or online here.
