Notice of public hearing: amendment to the East Vistas LASP

The purpose of the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan (East Vistas LASP) amendment is to accommodate proposed changes in the northeast portion of the plan area with a decrease in neighbourhood commercial to convenience commercial and an increase in the area of higher density residential development. The proposed amendment to the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan will be used to support the amendments to the Royal Oaks Outline Plan and Royal Woods Outline Plan and future redistricting and subdivision applications within these areas. The proposed amendment will update the approved land use population statistics within the East Vistas LASP.

A copy of the East Vistas LASP amendment may be inspected at the Planning and Development office on the second floor of County Centre (1101 – 5 Street, Nisku) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. As well, it is available to download in the online documents listing.

The proposed amendment of the East Vistas LASP is to be the subject of a public hearing that will be held on August 22, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the council chambers of County Centre.

At that time, written and oral submissions can be presented to county council on any or all documents. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed bylaw or from any other person whom council agrees to hear. Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to the County Centre, Suite 101, 1101 – 5 Street, Nisku, Alberta, T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-7077 by noon on August 16, 2017 will be included in the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the public hearing without prior notification to Leduc County.
