Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw to amend the East Vistas LASP

The purpose of the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan (East Vistas LASP) amendment is to accommodate proposed changes in the northwest portion of the plan area with an increase in residential density on the internal portions of the NE 31-52-24-4. The internal portion of the quarter section adjacent to the range road is proposed to have an increase of density from “Low Density Residential” to “Medium Density Residential”. The proposed amendment will update the approved land use and population statistics within the East Vistas LASP. The proposed amendment to the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan will be used to support the submission of the Irvine Creek Outline Plan.

A copy of the East Vistas LASP amendment may be inspected at the Planning and Development department, second floor in County Centre between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The amendment is also available here.

The proposed amendment of the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan is to be the subject of a public hearing that will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the council chambers of County Centre.

At that time, written and oral submissions can be presented to the county council on any or all documents. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed bylaw or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to County Centre, Suite 101, 1101 – 5th Street, Nisku, Alberta, T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-7077 by noon on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 will be included in the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the public hearing without prior notification to Leduc County.
