Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08

Leduc County has received an application to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08. The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to redistrict approximately 1.74 ha (4.30 ac) from a 32.4 ha (80 ac) parcel of land located at Pt. NE 29-50-25 W4 from the Agricultural District (AG) to the Direct Control District (DC).

The purpose of the proposed Direct Control District is to provide for the consideration of a steel fabrication business with associated office and outdoor storage.

A public hearing for the proposed amendment will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 2:45 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the council chamber of County Centre, at which time written and oral submissions can be presented to council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed amendment or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101-5 Street, Nisku, AB T9E 2X3, faxed to 780-955-8866 or emailed to by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017, referencing application LA17-007, will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting, without prior notification to Leduc County.

If you make a written submission, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Copies of the proposed amending bylaw and any supporting information may be inspected at the Planning and Development offices in County Centre between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
