Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08

The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to amend the district regulations of Direct Control District DC-014 of the Leduc County Land Use Bylaw, affecting lands located at pt. NW-14-47-01-W5, to make provision for the following:

1. Amend part (b) of the General Site Regulations and Requirements to allow for consideration of a ‘special winter event’ during the winter months

2. Amend the Minimum Building Setback Requirements of the Leased Recreation Sector as follows:
     a) Reduce the required building setbacks from an internal road from 6 metres to 5 metres
     b) Reduce the required building setbacks from another lot from 5 metres to 3 metres for seasonal accommodation units and              recreational vehicles, and from 5 metres to 2 metres for accessory buildings
     c) Remove the setback requirements of a building from ‘any other building’ not defined within the setback requirements

3. Amend the Minimum Building Setback Requirements of the Community Sector as follows:
     a) Remove the setback requirements of a principal or accessory building from another building

A public hearing concerning the proposed amendments will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. or soon thereafter as possible, in the council chamber of County Centre, at which time written and oral submissions can be presented to council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed amendment or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed, emailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101-5 Street, Nisku, AB T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-8866 by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting, without prior notification to Leduc County.

If you make a written submission, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Copies of the proposed amending bylaw amendments may be inspected at the planning and development offices at County Centre between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
