Notice of public hearing: proposed bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw 7-08

The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to amend the Leduc County Land Use Bylaw as it affects ±3.7 ha (±9.14 ac) of those lands described as Plan 0223426, Block 1, Lot 2, Pt. SW 29-48-25-4 to be redistricted from the AG –Agricultural District to DC – Direct Control District to facilitate firewood processing. The property is located on northeast corner of Township Road 484 and Range Road 255.

A public hearing concerning the amendment will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in Council chamber at County Centre. At that time written and oral submissions can be presented to council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed amendment or from any other person whom council agrees to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed or delivered to Leduc County, Suite 101, 1101-5 Street, Nisku, AB T9E 2X3 or faxed to 780-955-8866 by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017 will be included on the council agenda. Written and oral submissions may be made at the council meeting, without prior notification to Leduc County.

If you make a written submission, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Copies of the proposed amending bylaws, the applications for amendment and any related information may be inspected at the planning and development office in County Centre between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
