Pink Shirt Day
February 27 is Pink Shirt Day, where you are encouraged to practice kindness and wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.
Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 in Nova Scotia, after two boys organized a high school protest to wear pink in sympathy with a student who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of the student by distributing pink t-shirts to all the boys in their school.
Since then, Pink Shirt Day has spread across the globe, with several countries participating in anti-bullying fundraisers and events.
Remember to practice kindness always and to wear your pink shirt on February 27.
