Roadside vegetation management program

Leduc County will be maintaining a roadside vegetation management program, as part of an integrated approach, for the control of prohibited noxious and noxious weeds, brush and other targeted species along roadside ditches throughout the 2018 season.

Any serious infestations may require spraying of municipal rights-of-way (roadsides) within Leduc County. This program is scheduled to commence by the beginning of June.

Herbicides used will be determined by the target vegetation, weather conditions, soil type and surrounding vegetation, and will include:

• Navius PCP #30922
• Garlon XRT PCP #28945
• Clearview PCP #29752
• Tordon 22K PCP #9005
• Escort PCP #23005
• Truvist PCP #30920
• 2,4-D Amine PCP #14726
• Vantage XRT PCP #29994

In certain cases, mechanical control and/or handpicking may also be used.
