Subsidized seniors services
Seniors Services provides preventative social programs that assist seniors and persons with disabilities in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life. Two subsidized programs are available to assist in supporting clients to remain living in their own safe, clean and comfortable homes. Outreach Home Support (OHS) is a light housekeeping service that clients may access on a weekly or monthly basis, and Home Help (HH) is available in the spring and fall to assist clients with heavier cleaning chores within the home. Services are tailored to each client’s particular needs and abilities.
To be eligible for either OHS or HH service, individuals must be residents of Leduc County or of the following municipalities: Calmar, New Sarepta, Thorsby or Warburg. Service is also available in the Graminia area of Parkland County.
One-on-one support is available to assist individuals in applying for Seniors Financial Assistance and other government subsidies, as well as to connect seniors and persons with disabilities to available resources in their communities.
