Shelterbelts

A shelterbelt is a planting of trees or shrubs established to protect an area, such as cropland or yard sites. Benefits include conserving soil and water, managing snow and wind, improving air quality, protecting yards and livestock, stabilizing crops and enhancing habitat for wildlife.
