The Land Titles office at Service Alberta, which is the source of ownership information for Leduc County, is experiencing delays in registration requests as a result of increased real estate market activity.

It is the responsibility of the property owner to contact the County for their tax information if they do not receive a property tax notice. Not receiving a tax notice (or losing a tax notice) is not accepted as a reason for late payment.
Leduc County collects property taxes to help pay for services, facilities and projects in the county. Property taxes are calculated based on the assessed value of your property and multiplying it by the appropriate tax rate. We have different tax rates for different assessment classes, including residential, non-residential, farmland, machinery and equipment and linear property.

You can set up property tax payments through online banking. Use the online banking platform from your financial institution and select Leduc County Taxes as the payee. You will need your tax roll number (found on your tax bill) when setting up your online payment. |

You will receive a penalty tax reminder notice one month prior to each late payment penalty deadline.
The education property tax helps fund the education system in Alberta. This is a provincial tax that is collected by Leduc County for the Government of Alberta, St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic and Black Gold Regional school divisions. Although we collect the tax, we have no jurisdiction or input in school board operations or budgets.
