Each year, Leduc County repairs and improves county roads and other infrastructure to allow for safe travel.
The Government of Alberta is responsible for maintenance, construction and snow removal on all numbered highways, including highways 2, 19, 625, 39, 814, 616, 623, 795, 778, 770 and 622. To report a concern about a provincial road, contact the government's contractor, EMCON, at 1-800-390-2242.

In June 2021, Western Economic Diversification Canada announced a $17.7 million investment to complete Nisku Spine Road.
Nisku Spine Road is a north-south roadway which, once fully developed, will run from 41 Avenue SW in the City of Edmonton to Highway 2A, south of the City of Leduc.
Federal funding is being provided through the Canada Coal Transition Initiative-Infrastructure Fund (CCTI-IF). Benefits flowing from this project are expected to include creating approximately 950 local jobs, attracting up to 60 businesses, and developing new opportunities for business expansion throughout Leduc County and surrounding areas.
