Prior to starting any business, operation, activity or development that may require transport on Leduc County's roads, you must contact Leduc County at 780-979-6185 to determine if a road-use agreement is required.
Conditions that require a road-use agreement include, but are not limited to, the following:
Before applying for a road-use agreement, you have to complete the following steps:
You will not be able to begin work until you receive approval from Leduc County. Submitting your application does not equal an automatic approval.
Once your completed application form is received, a bond amount will be determined. Before any permits are issued, Leduc County must receive the bonding in the form of a certified cheque, line of credit or bond. The individual who puts up the bond will be held responsible should any damages occur.
If you are transporting fill material , you may need a development permit. You will be required to provide the development permit number when applying for a road-use agreement.
Agricultural producers are exempt from entering into road use agreements if they meet the criteria outlined in the traffic bylaw.
If you fail to obtain a road-use agreement, you may be subject to fines as per Leduc County's traffic bylaw.
