Leduc County adopted the updated Municipal Development Plan in 2019. The Municipal Government Act Section 638(2)(b) requires that area structure plans must be consistent with the municipal development plan. Additionally, Leduc County’s brand guidelines have changed and statutory plans are being redesigned accordingly.
Leduc County is proposing to repeal the North Major Area Structure Plan (North Major ASP) and related amendments and to perform textual amendments to the East Vistas Local Area Structure Plan (East Vistas LASP) to change its designation from Local Area Structure Plan to Area Structure Plan. These textual amendments consist of removing the term "local" from the plan’s title and body of the document and associated figures, as well as removing references to the North Major ASP. Additionally, the document has been revised to align with the County’s updated brand guidelines.
