Canada's Agriculture Day is a day to recognize the work of all those who help produce the food that Canadians and people around the world eat.
Leduc County is an agricultural community, and we are proud to support all agricultural producers - big and small - and their commitment to their communities.
Canada is the fifth-largest exporter of agricultural and agri-product food in the world. In Leduc County, agriculture is our second largest industry and a critical contributor to our local economy, culture and the County's sustainability.
According to the 2021 Census of Agriculture:
To celebrate Canada's Agriculture Day, Leduc County distributed almost 1,000 agriculture activity sheets to local grade four classrooms. The activity sheets have fun facts about Leduc County, a word search, a colouring activity and a recipe that has local ingredients that families can make together at home!
If this sounds like something your children and family would enjoy, download the activity sheet below!
