Council meeting changes

Governance and Priorities Committee established

On Oct. 22, Leduc County council adopted Bylaw No. 29-19, which established our new Governance and Priorities Committee. This committee replaces the Committee of the Whole; Committee of the Whole meetings will no longer be held.

Governance and Priorities Committee meetings will take place the first Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. These meetings are open to the public.

Council meeting changes

Council’s new meeting schedule is as follows:

• Regular council meetings will take place the second and fourth Tuesday each month starting at 1:30 p.m. (or at the call of the chair)
• Council workshop meetings will take place the second and fourth Tuesday each month starting at 10 a.m. (or at the call of the chair)
• Governance and Priorities Committee meetings will take place the first Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or at the call of the chair)
• The first Governance and Priorities meeting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
