Join us for an 80 km walking challenge!

The 80 km walking challenge is taking place to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the historical Yardley Jones 50 mile walk, where participants walked from New Sarepta to the City of Edmonton.

The 80 km walking challenge encourages participants to get out and get active!

How it works

From May 18 to June 17, get out and get active! 

• Track your walking for 31 days (May 18 to June 17)
• Download our activity tracking form (below) and track your activity.
• Participants have 31 days to complete 80 km (which is roughly 50 miles) to be eligible to win prizes.
• Participants can track their activity in time or in kilometres as we know not everyone has access to pedometers or tracking devices.
  • For the purpose of this challenge, 15 minutes of walking will be equal to 1 km.
• The goal is to complete 80 km of activity within 31 days, but participants are welcome to complete more if they meet their goal early.
