Leduc County announces unofficial by-election results

All voting stations have reported their vote counts from by-election day and advance voting, and the below individual has been elected* to serve the remainder of the current four-year term on Leduc County Council:

Dal Virdi -- received 53.7 per cent of the divisions' votes with 268 of 499 votes.

*Results are unofficial and will become official at noon on Dec. 16.

Unofficial results indicate a 22.5 per cent voter turnout, with 499 of the eligible 2,217 voters in division 3.

On Jan. 10, 2023 Dal Virdi will take his oath of office during the regular Leduc County Council meeting.

Virdi will serve as division 3 Councillor for the remainder of the 2021 to 2025 Council term.
