Leduc County division three councillor resignation

On Aug. 30, 2022 Kelly Vandenberghe resigned from his position as division three councillor for Leduc County.

Vandenberghe was first elected in October 2017 and was re-elected in October 2021. He tendered his resignation due to personal reasons.

The division three vacancy will be filled through a by-election.

As per the Municipal Government Act s.165, unless Council sets an earlier date, election day for a by-election is 120 days after the vacancy occurs.

Council will set a by-election date at an upcoming Council meeting.
