Leduc County Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is now a provincial Family Resource Network (FRN) hub. Family Resource Networks deliver high-quality prevention and early intervention services and supports for children aged 0 to 18.
We’re incredibly proud to become a provincial Family Resource Network hub. Leduc County has provided programming for parents, caregivers and their children for more than ten years. Programming through our Family Resource Network will continue to allow us to build strong, resilient families and will focus on three core areas: child development and well-being supports, caregiver capacity building supports and social connections supports.
Dean Ohnysty, director of community services
These supports will center on strengthening parent and caregiver knowledge, coping and problem-solving skills, access to community resources, improving child and youth development, building resiliency and fostering well-being.
Services offered through Leduc County’s FRN will replace previous early intervention and prevention programming, including Parent Link programs, and offer a wider range of services to a broader age group of children and their parents.
To follow provincial public health orders, Leduc County’s FRN services will be limited to supports that can be delivered by phone or online. Online programming will be ready in July.
Supports offered through Leduc County’s FRN will be available to residents in Leduc County, Beaumont, Devon, Calmar, Thorsby and Warburg.
