Wildfire: Township Road 504

Sunday, May 14 - 9:30 p.m.

The wildfire is under control and fire crews remain on scene monitoring conditions. The evacuation of the area has been lifted and impacted residents who registered with Leduc County have been notified.

Township Road 504 and Range Road 265 and 271 are now open.


Sunday, May 14 - 1:30 p.m.

The wildfire is contained and fire crews remain on scene dealing with ongoing fire conditions. Strong winds are expected this afternoon, which may cause conditions to worsen quickly. The evacuation of the area is still in effect. Township Road 504 between Range Road 265 and Range Road 271 is closed. Range Roads 265 and 271 are also closed.

Avoid the area and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.

Another update will be shared this evening (May 14).


Saturday, May 13 - 8:45 p.m.

The wildfire is contained and fire crews will remain on scene overnight monitoring for flare ups and dealing with hot spots. The evacuation of the area is still in effect. Township Road 504 between Range Road 265 and Range Road 271 is closed. Range Roads 265 and 271 are also closed.

If you have evacuated, please register with Leduc County by calling 780-955-4546.

Avoid the area and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.

Saturday, May 13 - 2:55 p.m.

There is a wildfire at Township Road 504 and Range Road 270 in Leduc County. The wildfire is three kilometres west of the Town of Devon and three kilometres south of the North Saskatchewan River. Wind is pushing the wildfire north towards the river.

Everyone from Township Road 504 north to the North Saskatchewan River between Range Road 270 and Range Road 265 must evacuate immediately. THIS AREA DOES NOT INCLUDE THE TOWN OF DEVON.

Gather pets, important documents and enough food and water for at least three days. Once you have evacuated to a safe location, phone 780-955-4546 to register with the County. Avoid the area and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.

Township Road 504 between Range Road 265 and Range Road 271 is closed. Range Road 265 and Range Road 271 are also closed.
