Waterwell management for well owners

Leduc County and the County of Wetaskiwin are hosting a free, live online water well management workshop presented by the Working Well program. 

During the workshop, registered participants will learn:

• The basics of groundwater and how your well works.
• How to protect your well from contamination.
• How to test your well water. 
• How to properly operate and maintain your well.
• How and when to shock chlorinate your well.
• What to do with old, abandoned wells on your property.

Technical expertise will be provided by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, Alberta Health Services and licensed water well drillers.

The free virtual workshop takes place on Thursday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. You must pre-register to attend.
