Genesee Park Group Campground

Genesee Park Group Campground will be open until the weekend of Sept. 29 to Oct. 1,. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation at 780-955-6410.

Genesee Park Group Campground is located at 3053 Township Road 510A immediately west of Genesee Heritage Park and is a great spot for a large family camping trip or a weekend away with friends. A gazebo, group firepit, picnic tables, shelter and washrooms are located here.

Season

Genesee Park Group Campground is open from Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend. 

Book the campground

You can reserve Genesee Park Group Campground beginning January 1 of each year. Reservations are accepted until the first Monday in October.

  • Beginning Monday, May 15, reservations will be taken online only.

Book the campground

Group campground reservation policy
  • If a reservation is cancelled with more than 21 days notification prior to the arrival date, you will receive a refund minus the $15 reservation fee. 
  • Cancellations between 21 days and 48 hours of the arrival date will receive a refund minus $190, which is equal to the first night's camping fee and the $15 reservation fee.
  • If a reservation is cancelled with less than 48 hours notification prior to the arrival date, a refund minus $385, which is equal to two nights camping fees, the $15 reservation fee and the $20 park improvement fee will be given.
  • A modification fee of $5 applies to all changes to current reservations.

Rates

Overnight

It costs $175 per night (including GST) to camp at Genesee Park Group Campground; with an additional of $15 reservation fee and $20 park improvement fee per booking.

Additional fees

The following fees are also applied:

  • $400 damage fee if there is damage to the site.
  • $100 garbage removal fee if garbage is left at the end of your stay.

Accessing the campground

At check in, customers must call 780-985-2499 to receive an access code to the campground.


Amenities

Genesee Park Group Campground includes the following amenities:

  • nine campsites with an individual fire pit at each site
  • picnic shelter
  • central group fire pit
  • double vault toilets
  • walking path adjacent to Genesee Heritage Park with a stocked fishing pond
  • water hand pump (non-potable water)

Note: there is no power or firewood available at the campground; you'll need to purchase firewood in advance.
