Leduc County is a rural municipality located south of the City of Edmonton. It was incorporated on Sept. 24, 1963 as the “County of Leduc No. 25,” and was renamed on April 8, 1998 to “Leduc County.”
The county is divided into seven electoral divisions; each division is represented by a councillor. Each year, council appoints a member of councillor to serve a one-year term as mayor.
Council is responsible for setting an annual budget and making decisions on a range of municipal services. These services include roads, fire services, recreation programs, development permits, water services and more.
