Apply to be part of a Leduc County board or committee

2025 Leduc County Board Appointments

Leduc County invites County residents to apply for the following board and committee positions by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2025. Please note mileage and an honorarium may be provided to committee/board members.

Agricultural Service Board

Acts in an advisory capacity to Council on matters in accordance with duties, powers and functions outlined in the Agricultural Service Board Act and in support of the Weed Control Act, Soil Conservation Act, Agricultural Pests Act, Livestock Diseases Act and Water Act. Applicants should be familiar with agricultural issues and concerns to provide advice on agricultural policies.

  • Positions available: two members at large
  • Term: two years ending Dec. 31, 2026
  • Meeting frequency: seven times per year on the second Monday of January, March, April, June, September, November and December at 10 a.m. or at the call of the Chair
Family and Community Support Services Advisory Committee

Acts in an advisory capacity to Council. The committee is comprised of one community member from the rural east region, one community member from the rural west region, two Leduc County Council representatives, and Council representatives from Calmar, Thorsby and Warburg.

  • Positions available: one member at large from the rural west region
  • Term: two years ending Dec. 31, 2026
  • Meeting frequency: four times per year on Wednesdays commencing at 5 p.m.
Leduc County Library Board

Acts in an advisory capacity to Council. The committee is comprised of six members of the community and two Leduc County Council members.

  • Positions available: two members at large
  • Term: three years ending Dec. 31, 2027
  • Meeting frequency: meets up to four times per year in the evenings in New Sarepta
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee

Acts in an advisory capacity to Council. The committee is comprised of six members of the community and two Leduc County Council members.

  • Positions available: three members at large, with one representative each for the Warburg, Leduc and New Sarepta areas
  • Term: two years ending Dec. 31, 2026
  • Meeting frequency: four times per year on Wednesdays commencing at 6:30 p.m.
Edmonton International Airport Noise Advisory Committee

The Noise Advisory Committee is managed by the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority for the purpose of reviewing complaints related to aircraft noise. The committee is comprised of members from adjacent and nearby municipalities, Transport Canada, NAV Canada, airline representative(s) and Edmonton Airports.

  • Positions available: one member at large
  • Term: two years ending Dec. 31, 2026
  • Meeting frequency: as needed
