Bulk water

Leduc County has two bulk water outlets and one portable bulk water outlet that provide users with access to bulk water. 

Locations of bulk water stations:

  • 1402 7 St., Nisku: two-inch and three-inch cam lock connections; pin account and credit card terminal available.
  • 4991 Centre Avenue, New Sarepta: two-inch cam lock connection; lower flow rate than the Nisku stations; pin account and credit card terminal.

Once we approve your application, we will provide you with an ACCESS number and a PIN number so that you can access water at one of our bulk water stations.

Accessing bulk water

To access bulk water, you need to travel to one of the three bulk water stations in Leduc County. Upon arrival, you have two payment options:

  1. Enter your ACCESS number and then your PIN number at the station. The bulk water station will automatically track your water usage and it will be put onto your account.
  2. You can use a credit card for payment instead. *NOTE: Credit card not available at the 37 Avenue, Nisku location.

Fees

We will bill you for all water that you purchase from the bulk water station. Invoices are sent on a monthly basis. Alternatively, you can pay with your credit card directly at the station.

All water use rates are outlined in the Leduc County Utility Fees and Charges bylaw. You must pay all fees within 30 days from the day we issue your invoice, or penalties will be applied, as per the Utility Fees and Charges Bylaw.

In considerations of Leduc County issuing a bulk water customer a PIN to access the County’s bulk water sales dispensing system(s) (hereafter referred to as “bulk water station(s)”) owned and operated by Leduc County for the purpose of the dispensing the customer’s request for bulk water, the parties agree to the following:

  1. This agreement shall commence on the date above and shall continue from month to month thereafter unless terminated by the applicant upon 10 working days’ notice.
  2. The customer acknowledges receipt of the PIN for access to the County’s bulk water station(s) and agrees that Leduc County can at any time and for any reason revoke the privilege of use of the bulk water station(s).
  3. The customers shall pay for all water as recorded to the applicant’s account by the County’s bulk water station(s) at a rate in accordance with the latest schedule of utility services rates as established by Leduc County.
  4. Leduc County shall invoice the customer in accordance with the volume consumption recorded by the bulk water station(s) system. Payment of all accounts shall be made by the customer to the County within 30 days of being issued. If the account is not paid in full by the said date, the customer agrees to be responsible for any collection costs or fees, directly or incidentally related to the account, for the collection of the amount owed.
  5. The customer shall indemnify and save harmless Leduc County, its employees and/or its agents from any and all liabilities, damages, costs, claims, suits or actions caused by or resulting from the operation, maintenance, repairs, services or systems and/or any related fixtures and appurtenances affixed to the bulk water station(s) systems, other than those resulting from the negligence or willful act of Leduc County, its employees, agents and those for whom Leduc County is responsible in law.
  6. The customer agrees that Leduc County shall not be liable for any losses, damages or amount that the customer may suffer as a result of the inability/failure to provide continuous, consistent, and uninterrupted supply of water.
  7. This agreement or benefit thereof cannot be assigned.


Electronic billing

  1. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify Leduc County of a change to their email address.
  2. In cases where an invoice is not received via email, it remains the account holder’s responsibility to ensure payment is received by Leduc County by the due date to avoid late payment penalties.
