Tax certificates

You can request a property tax certificate online through our Citizen Self Service portal. 

The fee for a tax certificate is $31, and may be purchased online using a Visa or Mastercard.

Follow the instructions below to purchase a tax certificate: 

  1. Open the Citizen Self Service portal by clicking the button below
  2. Click the 'click here' button at the bottom between the Visa and Mastercard logos
  3. Select one of the six options to search for the property you need a tax certificate for, then click the 'go' button in the right-hand column
  4. Continue through the options. You will receive your tax certificate immediately after entering payment with a Visa or Mastercard at the email you provided.

If you do not receive a tax certificate within 30 minutes after the transaction is completed, please call  780-955-3555 or email.

Tax certificates show a record of yearly tax amounts, payment information and any penalties or outstanding account balances for a property. A tax certificate may be required by a law firm or financial institution when a property is being sold, refinanced or as a verification of paid taxes.
