County introduces Civic Access portal for customers
Permits, inspections, special event applications and more now accessible online
Leduc County is pleased to introduce its new online portal, Civic Access, connecting customers virtually to all their planning and development needs.
“The County’s new online permitting system demonstrates investment to support all levels of development and business within its borders, from residential to large-scale industrial,” says Leduc County Mayor Tanni Doblanko. “Administration is prioritizing customer convenience while making it accessible 24/7 when on your phone or laptop; wherever you have an internet connection.”
The Civic Access portal is a purpose-built permitting and workflow platform for the County to best support all development, subdivision and safety codes needs within its boundary. It integrates services hosted within Planning and Development with other supporting departments, such as Finance and Geomatic Information Services, when working with development permits, rezoning, safety codes permitting, inspections and subdivision applications.
The new portal is also an environmentally friendly option with e-documentation, which offers many benefits for businesses where time and efficiency is key. Creating an online account reduces the requirement for paper applications and in-person visits.
“It’s important to note, that all Leduc County customers can choose the best option to suit their schedule and permitting needs. Paper copies are still available at the County Centre with staff on hand to help,” says Doblanko.
