Leduc County by-election date announced
At the Sept. 13 Leduc County Council meeting, a municipal by-election date was set to fill the current division 3 councillor vacancy.
The by-election will take place on Monday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Advance voting will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The by-election comes after former division 3 councillor Kelly Vandenberghe submitted his resignation at the end of August.
Voter eligibility
Leduc County division 3 residents are eligible to vote if they:
- are 18 years old
- are a Canadian citizen
- are a division 3 resident of Leduc County on election day (Dec. 12, 2022)
Leduc County does not prepare a voter list. You must complete a declaration at the voting station that confirms you are eligible to vote.
Nomination period
The nomination period is from Sept. 14 to Nov. 14 at noon.
